Dear Richmond, I’d like to share my final thoughts after the election. I must be truthful in stating, I am disappointed in not winning the Mayor’s race. This disappointment covers a wide range of emotions. I also must add, I honestly respect the voice of the voters in re-electing Sally for another four years. I knew the risks and decided to test what the people wanted. I was not able to overcome the popularity Sally has developed over many years in politics. I felt the need to see if Richmond was ready to get behind a platform centered on our youth. I understand people were looking for more. I am not sorry for making this attempt, but I feel bad about the many supporters throughout this campaign. I wish I could have done better for them....
